Happy 2012!!! and an update on the goings on here.

Well, this past two weeks has been great. I found out I got a 4.0 this past semester! :D I was sooo surprised! I thought I’d at least have one or 2 B’s!!!
Now that I’m on break, I've not really done much except read, go to Grandma's and bake cake and cookies and help with chili, (yum!), and I went bowling with Dee and her boyfriend Thursday night. It was really fun. My games kinda sucked, (93, 82, 86), but it could have been worse. We walked around Walmart for awhile afterward and looked at stuff and talked. Sara, Mike, and our friend Ben came over last week and we hung out for a few hours and played Wii and ate AJ's pizza.

Christmas was nice. We went to Grandma and Grandpa's instead of great Grandma's for once for the entire Christmas eve, (usually we split it between the two houses even though its the same side of the family), and great Grandma didn't come, because she said she was not feeling well. I got a nice gold pearl necklace/bracelet set that can go with about anything dressy, so that was cool. I also got some nice tops, (one purple and one grey), that were dressy, so that was good since I need more dress clothes for teaching. Even though I won't be in the classroom this semester really, I'll need them for methods/student-teaching next year. I got some bath-and-bodyworks Sea-Island Cotton spray and lotion. I have so much bath-and-body its crazy, but at least I have variety lol. I got a gift card to the mall, and so my cousins and I went shopping on Monday, and I got some good deals. I even got Bilko a treat dispenser that is a soccer ball like ball with a hole in it for treats/food. He loves rolling it around and shaking it to get the food it, but he gives up after awhile, so I help him, (when I can find the ball.)

Christmas day we got up and all the grandparents came over as usual to see us open gifts. (More clothes, ITunes card, a new pare of boots that didn't fit so we're going to try to return them, an Ohio State pillow (from Walker.) We went to grandma and grandpa's at noon for Christmas dinner, and had a very... awkward conversation that consisted of my grandpa's racist jokes. It was horrible, and my grandpa's not a bad guy, and he's nice, but... I ended up throwing a grape at him from my apple salad. We all just hung out and talked until it was time to go to grandma's at 3. We had a silly gift-exchange in which I got one of the gifts we brought (and I really didn't want), and my dad got a pop-it extreme with an optional "shake-it" setting. We traded. I then set around and talked to my cousin and one of their girlfriends for awhile. That was interesting, just because I've never really talked to this girl before since I just met her at Thanksgiving.

Its now Newyears Eve Day, and Walker was up half the night puking last night, and mom was up with him. I didn't feel like going to my parents room to sleep, (I was half asleep and comfortable), so I was awake too off-and-on. He was going to have a party tonight, but I'm not sure if that's happening or not now. I'm just hanging out at home tonight with my family. Nobody invited me anywhere, and I that's fine. Usually I'm the one that has the party, but not this year, since the usual guests (except me and one friend), are doing other things in other towns. I keep telling myself that I'm going to work out more this year, and I mean to do it. Honestly, though, anything more than a few times would be an improvement. I get so busy with school and such that it never seems to happen.
Well, now that it's actually 2012 and I'm posting, HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

Job applications and Dentists.

Three Posts in 4 days? You all should be proud! :) lol
This summer, I've been looking for a job, so I can pay for some of my own stuff. I don't get any government aid yet, because I have to many savings bonds and such for college saved up in my name and they won't give me SSI till there done, and plus I'm in school, so... Getting a job is proving dificult though. Like I said in an earlier post, I was and still am trying for a babysitting job, but it isn't working out so far, so I've applied for a job at the library on campus. I literally went to the library with the Counseling/Voc Rehab guy, (he's working at DSS for grad school hours and helping me also helps him get hours), and he and I got an application from this lady at the info desk and he helped me fill it out and we sent it back Via Campus Mail. It didn't say specific jobs, and we didn't have time to look online for specifics, but hopefully they'll hire me for computer work or something not involving putting books on shelves lol.

On another, less wonderful note: I had a dentists appointment tonight, so I'm home for the next few days before going back for school. Normally I hate the dentists, (who doesn't?), and this time was no different. I have never had a Cavity before. I was always so proud of that fact since most if not all of my friends have had at least one, but my luck ran out today. :( The Dentist decided to get it done right then and there, so she numbed me, which I thought was going to hurt a lot more than it actually did and I was really tense haha! My mouth is still numb, and dad and mom keep laughing at my facial expressions and attempts at talking hahahaha!

I actually have an appoint with the (Opthamologist?) or whatever the eye doctor is called, Thursday, so it's the week for doctors I guess. I also need to get my prosthetic eye cleaned, but I don't have an appointment for that yet.

Wow, this is a really weird and stupid post, but I wanted to write something to keep my mind off food... I can't really eat well until I can feel my face! lol

SP--East and South

I went to East Elementary yesterday, (Thuosday), for awhile and worked with a woman I'll call Mrs. Goggles. (nickna/e a girl in my class came up with when we were younger.) I had fun helping a boy with figuring out pennies and nickles. He spoke mostly Spanish, so I greeted him and he was all smiles! It was cool. I al helped a fourth grader with multiplication and devision using fake pennies as manipulative. That was cool, because that is what we were learning how to teach before break. I then went and brought the first graders in to the hall in groups of 4, (they wanted to see Bilko and were doing reading groups), and explained to them what Bilko does for me. I had the harness on and had them read his sign, "do not pet me I am working." Then I took off the harness, made hm say sitting, and let them pet him. Mrs. Gogqles was totally amazed how well I handled that with having them read it and everything. I was thinking 'duh! what else would I do? they're first graders! They need to read.' I then talked to my mom's PE class of 3rd graders, and let them hold the harness and then let them come up in 4s to pet him before getting their shoes on.
Today I went to South Elementary and observed Mrs. Kits. She had IEP's part of the day so I got to sit through 2 of them. One the parents only spoke Spanish, and I realized how inadequate my spanish-speaking skills are. I was thinking about minoring in Spanish, but I'm not sure I will. I may try to learn on my own or something. At least enough to get by in parent-teacher conferences. I want to find spanish radio or something to listen too. I'd like to go to Spain next summer, but I don't if that will happen since I kind of want a job for the summer... The resorse room at South has a lot of kids doing lots of different subjects at once. They do tests it there, like math but the teachers aren't aloud to do more than just make sure the problems are set up right. It is interesting to see how they work with several subjects at once. they mostly give one kid a question or problem then help someone ekse than go back when the other kid is done with the question...
I really want to student-teach in Texas, especially with the crappy bill being talked about passing in Ohio. I don't know much about it except its something to do with getting rid of the teacher's union and capping pay at $34,000. That really scares me. What is this country coming to if they're running teachers out of the field? It hasn't passed quite yet but it might, and it will eventually effect everywhere! I'm horrified! how the heck can they do this? Kids NEED TO LEARN! O well, guess I can't do anything about it, so why waste time worrying? (BTW East and South are 2 schools in my town.)

School's out!

For the summer!
I'm finally done with exams and sitting in my bedroom at home. :_ I love college, but i am sooo sick of classes! lol I' sooo excited about moving out in to the apartment next fall. I used a lot of my meal plan (about $300 that would go to waist if I didn't use it), on getting bulk food items we an use next year. mmm speghetti-oa's! lol. Can ya tell I'm tired? My friend Meagan and I were studying yesterday and 3 answers or more in a row were "asthma" and we started saying asthma for every answer and it was hillarious! Ok, so this post was stupid, but I'm wanting to do something while I'm talking on skype.
TTYL
I'm going to post "recaps" soon.... probably tomorrow sometome since I don't have anything to do. Yea summer!

Bilko's bloggings

Ok, so mom said I can write this before she catches you all up on what's been going on lately-- Yea! I get the computer! *wags tail and wiggles excitedly*
So yesterday was weird. It was raining (bleck!) and usually I don't like the rain but mom makes me go out and work in it anyway, but yesterday she put this weird yellow thing over me. I hate that weird yellow thing! It sounds weird when she puts it on-- like a scratchy sound as she adjusts it. It keeps me dry in the rain, but I still hate it! I don't want to move with it on. It feels weird and I shake and try to get it off but it doesn't work and then mom gets frustrated cause she just dropped her white shirt in mud (she says she'll tell you about that later), so we went back to our room and she turns on this blowy thing and puts the shirt in front of it then she says we have to go back out. I'm still wearing the yellow thing, and when we're walking down the stairs I don't want to go and just stand there so she corrects me and I am forced to go to her side sliding on the wet steps but I'm ok just mad that she's making me do this. Then we go outside and she tries to get me to work on this rout we do every day but I don't want to! I want this thing off me! Now! She doesn't listen to my complaints and tries to get me to work but I won't so she gets mad and her friend is walking by and walks with us around a huge puddle and mom heals me and then I grudgingly walk and work and then we go through this building that we do every day and mom does obedience to make sure I'll listen and I grudgingly obey then we go to the building with lots of music and I don't want to work with the yellow thing so finally she makes me sit and takes it off! Yes's's! :D I then lay down by this chair like I do twice a week and listen and watch mom and a bunch of other people singing. Ok, good, normal stuff. Then We go to this dorm I've never been to before and mom makes me lay down while some girl puts some hot thing on mom's hair. I wanted to sniff it but mom and the girl both said no its hot so I didn't. Then we took the bus back to our dorm and mom was like freaking out cause her shirt had mud on it so she was running around trying to get that cleaned and then she fed me and got all dressed up nice and we took the bus back to the cool building with the music and we were sitting there with her friends from the grou. Then I'm laying there nicely and mom's mom (my grandma I guess) comes up and says "hi Jenna," and I get all excited and start wagging and trying to say hi but mom corrects me. Then she takes my harness off and I go with her mom! Yea! Wait? Why am I going with her? O well... Then mom goes up on stage and sings like she does during the other times we come to this building but now there's lots of other people. What is this? Then after she's done mom walks up to me with her mom guiding her (steeling my job!) and I get excited and sit up and lick this guy behind the ear before mom's grandma can stop me and he freaks out until he realizes what's going on then I get pet by mom and wag. Then she makes me lay down for awhile for the other singing people then we leave and go back to the dorm and get our stuff and go back to the house with my friend Hope. Few! That was a long day!

home again and Silly dogs

Ok, so I'm home at the moment sitting in our den. I came home yesterday morning because my brother (Walker) had a concert last night. He was in the honors band for the middle schools in our district. We went to the concert after hanging out at home and helping watch my cousin's year old daughter. She's sooo cute! At one point she was getting fussy because she was tired, and was just crying no matter what. Once she was walking around and crying and I heard her going toward the stairs so I ran over and grabbed her. (we don't have a baby gate so we just have to watch her.) That's the only good thiing about her crying was I could tell where she was lol!
The concert was good. I liked the songs, and one of Walker's friends sang a solo in the choir so that was cool. O and they had a surprise song and it was "Sing Sing Sing!" (go to my earlier post if you want to listen to a version of it... I'm to lazy to link to it right now haha.) I was excited lol. O and one of the songs I heard bass claranettes! I don't remember there being bass claranettes in middle school, but I guess there are. they sounded like Contra basses... IDK.

So this morning at 7:30 I was woken up by my grandma's dog, Ebony, coming in my room. She is staying with us for a week while grandma is in Florida, (Lucky!) Well Ebony came in and got Bilko up andd they went out and started running around the living room. Grumbling, I got up to get Bilko so when Hope (standard poodle) started barking everyone else wouldn't be woken up. Mostly Walker because everyone else was awake. I brought Bilko in my room again and closed the door. I layed back down, but sombody kept nosing me and pawing me. Fine. I'm up! I'm up!
I took Bilko out and fed him, then went back to bed. A few minutes later my dad came in and had all the dogs (Bilko, Ebony, and Hope) get up on my bed and lay down. He then went and got the camera and took a picture. I bet its cute, and if I can get the picture on my computer I'll try and load it on here. We then got all of them on my brother's bed and took a picture. I was cold, so I went back to lay down in my nice warm bed. I'd given up on sleep by now haha! My brother came in and Bilko climbed back up on my bed and Walker took tons of random pictures of God only know what and saved them on my phone. Great... Waste of memory. O well...

Well gotta get ready for church here soon. Hope you enjoyed my ramblings. :)
