Very Very Very long time o see! I'm baaaaack!!!
Hey all! I was bored today and saw somebody's post to a blog on the guide dog network group I'm apart of on facebook, and realized that I hadn't posted on here in awhile, although I've written. Yeah! Almost two years would be considered awhile! Gosh!
Hmmm... An overview of the past two years... I started dating randy in April of 2012, who I met through Mike and Sara, and he stuck with me through the horrid methods experience I had, (not a good teacher placement), and student teaching, (which was with Mr. P from earlier posts, and was really good.) Now we are engaged! :d We're getting married September 27, 2013! I have my dress picked out and my bridesmaids dresses almost decided on. We're getting married in my home church and having the reception in a reception hall at our fairgrounds. I'm so excited! :D
Also, I have a job now, not teaching as I'm not sure I want to do that at least right now, but as an Office Mannager at a company working with adults with cognitive disabilities. I'm living with the owner of the small company now, they thought I'd be a great fit for the company and knew my dad from school, so decided to help me out so I could find a place. They truly love having me work for them and say that the company feels complete like it hasn't for two years since the previous lady that did my job died of cancer, (R.I.P for her), so I know it isn't just because they knew my dad that they hired me haha! :)
I'm moving in to my own apartment December 9th, and am really excited about it! It's unfurnished, but I have some furnature already from family and Jim and shelly,, who I'm living with now, have some they don't use that they said I could, so that's great!
I like my job, although it can get boring sometimes when people are not coming in and I'm caught up on what I have to do lol! Other than that it's great, and I get to talk to clients which is fun. You'd think I had more to write... Oh! i'm still working Bilko, and he's doing great. He has some fatty sists on his sides, but the vet said they aren't cancerous so he's fine. Boy did I freak out the first time I found one though! Randy was there, and his brother's dog had some, so he calmed me down. Oh, we had to put Hope down in March. She was our standard poodle. She was having seizures and the medication was making her in to a different dog, and her organs were shutting down. The meds weren't helping much either. It was really sad, but she's with Jesus now...
Mom and dad got snickers, a Golden doodle, (golden retriever/poodle cross), in april and she's a bundle of energy. she was only 8 weeks when they got her. She loves Bilko, and Bilko likes her, but not the pulling on his ears andconstantly wanting him to play part. He'll be seven in December! How'd that happen!
Oh! I went to a Cincinnati Goalball group last night, a friend I know through aCBo plays and told me about it, and I absolutely love it! Shelly went with me and promptly decided we had to get a ball for OTS and play as a staff. lol! I'm sore now since I haven't played in forever, so will probably take a hot bath tonight lol. I did well though, scored the winning point in overtime for the game where the teams were ACB (mine), vs. NFB, so that was awesome. I'm planning on going whenever I can, hopefully every week, when it starts again in January. It's $25 for ten or so weeks, so pretty good. They have two weeks in December, but I hope I can convince them to let me pay half of it or something since I'm joining late.
I know there's things I've forgotten to say in here, but I'm going to post this now and take Billy out. Hopefully somebody still reads this!!!!

Bilko, vomiting, fome, what? :(
Ok so hopefullyI'll get another post in today, but I had to put this down. Bilko was fine this morning for breakfast, we went to church, and came home. I left him in my room when we went out to eat, because it was a chinese Bufegh and I didn’t want to bring him. I came home, let him out of my room and played a little tug (he only tugged for a minute), and petted him for awhile. I took him outside, but he first drank all the water in his bowl. I’m not sure how much was in it still, but he drank for awhile. I took him out and he Peaed. I came in and a few minutes later (while I was in the “.bathroom), my roommates said he was gagging so they took him outside. Apparently, he threw up white fome and no food. Could he have digested it already? Could it have been because of drinking so much water so fast? I think I may try to call Chuck if he’s in and see what he says. The food/water bowls are near the washer/dryer, but not where they would have sope and stuff. I’m really upset right now, mostly because I don’t know where that came from. I’m also mad at my roommates, because one of them insinuated that it was my falt. This person said “No offense, but it’s your responsibility to watch him.” what the heck! How the hekk am I supposed to be watching him when I’m not here? I’m in my room right now, although we have a friend (mostly of Sara and Mike’s), over, but I really hate the show they’re watching and don’t want to be around people right now. I think I’m going to post this and try to find something to take my mind off of everything. God, please let him be alright! My mind is filled with panicked fog right now, and I won’t be surprised if I either blow up at someone or start crying… or puke. I pray I’m overreacting, but you never know. God, please help him to really be alright! God please!!!!!

Don't ya just Love it when?...
Don’t ya just love it when…?
You find a dollar in the pocket of the jeans you wore last week? How about when you snag the last cookie? What about when you randomly run in to someone you’ve never met before and find out you have tons in common? I do! That’s what just happened to me a few minutes ago. I was relieving Bilko, (auspicious start, I know), and someone pulled up in a car. He just stopped and stared at it. I kept trying to get him to do his business, but he just kept staring. I heard someone get out and start walking up to the door. I said something like “hi.” And something about Bilko staring at her. Then I was like Bilko seriously do your business so we can go out of the rain! The girl laughed and Bilko wouldn’t even begin to circle like he is supposed to, so I gave up and asked the girl if she wanted to pet him. We walked in to the building to get out of the rain, and she started petting him and he loved it and was wagging his tail. We started talking and I found out she lives on third floor above me. I said something like “O, third floor, you don’t have to deal with people being noisy above you. Sometimes I think the people above us sound like elephants when it’s really quiet.” We laughed and she said that she is one of those people, because she’s trying to learn drums, and is practicing her base peddle. She said she was looking for someone to teach her, and since I’d played for 8 years, I said “I can teach you!” She agreed and we started talking about music. Turns out she plays violin, and I’ve been wanting to learn, so we’re going to swap lessons. Hopefully we are going to meet up this weekend and I’ll teach her some basics. I mentioned that (since we were thinking of meeting Sunday), “We’re going to H2O at 11:30, you wanna come?” She declined, but I JUST MET HER! I NEVER INVITE PEOPLE I JUST MET TO CHURCH! I am sooo proud of myself right now! :D
So, I increased my self-confidence, and hopefully made a new friend, all in 20 minutes! :D (hmmm, kinda sounds like an Infomercial.)

FEW!!!
Hey! I'm still alive! :) Amazing huh? I've been sooo busy with school, and really should be busy with it right now, but I'm not cause I wanted to write this... obviously! IDK why since I kinda think I'm the only one who reads it lol! If you are reading, leave a comment with... your favorite form of exercise, that can also include laughing histarically at the idea, since until recently that've been me! :)
I say until recently because I never really worked out much until a week ago, last Wednesday to be exact. Three of my roommates and I decided we were gonna work out together every other day, because Sara and I need to get in shape--although we're both skinny, we aren't in shape by any means,-- and Mike used to work out all the time because of football but doesn't really anymore. So we went to the workout room at our apartment complex, and I did the elliptical for like 15 minutes, but then decided I should really be doing a paper that was due Thursday, so I left. We then decided to work out Tuesday Thursday Saturday since those are the days Sara doesn't go to the preschool the next day. I went Saturday with them and did the bike (not sure how long), and messed around with weights and the rowing machine which I really like. We were over there for about an hour, but not sure how much of that was actually working out. I didn't get to go Tuesday since I was busy but I went today, and did 3.89 miles (roughly) on the bike, and 30 reps (or whatever you call them haha!) on the rowing machine set at 40 lbs, plus a little bit on elliptical. Got bored since I didn't bring my booksense and went back to the bike since there's music there haha! Next time I'm charging my Booksense and bring that, although it may get in my way since I don't have a clip or anything for it... Overall though, I feel good! :)

Birthday :) bestest!
So I'm officially not a teenager anymore! :)) Actually, doesn't feel any different. Lol.
I was woken up this morning by my roommates (Sara and Mike at least, Meg was still sleeping I think) coming in and singing "Happy Birthday," with synimon rolls and a candle in one of them. Yum Yum! That was goood breakfast!
I just hung out and looked on FB for awhile and read all the comments on my wall (I think like 115 as of a few minutes ago! Wow!) Then my parents came around 1, and we went out to this Mexican restaurant called "Don Pablos" and I was adventuress and tried fish tacos. Weird! My brother said I should try them, and I didn't know what to get, so I did and didn't like them. The rice and beans were good, but I really didn't care for the tacos and the enchilada I tried from my grandma. My mom made this giant cookie, and they sang happy birthday to me and we ate the cookie in the restaurant. Then they gave me gifts. I got a new pair of earrings from mom and da. Diamonds that I can wear all the time. I got this keychain beed thing from my grandma (mom's mom) and she picked beeds like hearts and a lock and key thing. I think they are like pandora, but not, maybe they are, I don't know. I got movies from mom and dad, and an ITunes gift card from the boys, Walker and Brennan, and a starbucks gift card! :D :D
and Money and singing cards (one from grandma and grandpa, and one from mom and dad),
When we got home, Walker wanted to say hi to Billy, (who kept licking the floor every now and again in the restaurant, but he was probably getting reeeally bored), so he took him to the bathroom for me, and I went inside. I smelled cake when I walked in to the hallway of our building, and when I opened the door... "Surprise!" There were tons of my friends! I totally wasn't expecting it! well, I was kinda suspicious, because Mike mentioned Lasagna by accident earlier, and the cake smell... It was awesome! :)
We had fun hanging out and playing scrabble, (me Brook, Kaitie, Jennie), maybe someone else but I can't think of who it was for the life of me! and it was sweet because Jenifer gave me Chocolate truffels and Trisha a stargbucks giftcard! Number two! :D Can you tell I like starbucks? lol
I did hear from Nick. Yesterday he told me his great grandpa died yesterday, and so I called and talked to him for awhile. It was kinda awkward since we hadn't talked in over a week, and I think it was weighing on us both that we wern't dating anymore but it was nice to talk to him again. He then texted me happy birthday and I texted thanks and we texted for a few minutes. It was good to hear from him. I did wish he was hear for the party, but I mannaged not to dwell on it, and overall it was an amazing birthday! :D Much more good than sad :D.
I love my friends!

Kong air squeaker football
So, I got Bilko the air kong squeaker football from dogsupplies.com
It came last week, but nobody told me I had a package notice and had to pick it up from the front office until a few days ago, and I never got a chance to go get it till today. I got it and opened it, and Bilko took it but he wasn't that interested at first, until I threw it for him! He ran and grabbed and started charging around our apartment! It was sooo funny! I recorded a sound file of him, but I don't know how to upload it to here. Help Please? If you guys wanna hear him that is...

Crazy O and M!
Ok, so I have lots of stuff about yesterday to post, but I really wanted to get this O and M lesson up lol.
I just got back from the craziest O and M lesson of my life. Not bad, but crazy. I really didn’t want to do the lesson today because it was walking around my apartment for next fall and figuring out what’s around it, and its snowy and freezing out. Melyssa came and we decided to just take the car and drive around to get a feel of how far things were and where there weren’t sidewalks etc.
We drove the 10-ish blocks to the apartment complex, and realized that part of the street its on has no sidewalks. The north side does, but not the south, and the complex is on the south. I could walk around on the north side and wait for an all clear to cross over to the complex, but that could take awhile so I couldn’t be in a hurry lol. I might be able to do sidewalkless with Bilko walking along the left side of the rode, but I’m not sure how safe that would be…
We decided to try to walk to the complex from a couple blocks away, but we realized that the sidewalks were completely covered in snow. Seriously, we couldn’t even tell there was sidewalk! We crossed the street to the side where there was cleared sidewalk and that was better. The kind of scary part about that is there’s absolutely no boundry between the sidewalk and the street. Its sidewalk, white line, street. Bilko did wonderfully though :)
At one point, Melyssa took my ID cane that I always cary with me especially in the snow, and crossed back over to see if there was sidewalk on the other side (when there wasn’t any snow anyway lol.) She almost lost the tip of my cane in the mud, but she found sidewalk! Smile
We then took the car and drove around to see what stores and businesses were around, and found out that the nearest store is 2 blocks away so that’s not too bad. The thing is there’s no sidewalk on the south side of the street so I’d either have to cross to the other side or do sidewalkless. I am definitely gonna have Chuck from GDB come look at this this summer. We then tried to cross this intersection by the “South Side Six,” that was nearest to the apartments, and once I figured it out was good, but we were crossing it to go back to the car and Bilko, who was facing the correct direction initially, decided half way across the street he wanted to go to a driveway to the right. What the heck? I don’t know why he did that, but he’s usually good… maybe he was tired… IDK he was goin nuts. We’re both just glad to be back home in the warm dorms.
More later about yesterday. I should do homework. Bleh!

Snow, Snow Go away!
Unless classes are gonna be canceled for tomorrow!
Ok, so of course there has been talk of the "Blizard of 2010" lately, and everybody's been flipping out. Some teachers canceled classes (which I found out there not supposed to do without permission from the university) yesterday, but none of mine did. Granted I only had 2 classes today, but one was clear across campus (and this campus isn't small) in the music building (aka CMA.) I had not left my dorm much except to relieve Bilko, and I noticed that the sidewalks wern't really cleared yet. Well, my first class was in my dorm building which was awesome! Then I was debating on even trying to get to the CMA since its been snowing like mad all day. The busses were still running, so I decided to go for it and take the bus. If the bus wasn't running I wouldn't even have bothered attempting it! So I went out and tried to take my normal rout to the bus stop, but the sidewalks were completely covered still! This was at like 3 this afternoon! Arg! I hate stupid people! A lady that knows me directed me to a different rout that I'd done before but hate because it involves getting through this parking lot that Bilko and I always end up wandering around in... It happened again, and someone directed me out of it. Then the cleaning lady that'd helped me before came running up and insisted on helping me get to the bus stop. She tried to grab me, and I said "no, my dog will guide me thanks." I absolutely hate people grabbing or pushing me! She made sure I was going in the right direction and walked away. I told Bilko to "find the bus stop" and we were fine. When the bus finally came, we got on, and a few minutes later I heard on the radio that all classes were canceled after 5:00 pm tonight. My jazz choir rehearsal ended at 4:30, so I didn't think It'd be canceled, and I was already on the bus anyway. I got to the CMA and the bus driver made sure I got across the street with the huge piles of snow (nice, but I'd've been fine without her lol) the sidewalk was much clearer than the ones by my dorm, and we made it to the building and when we got to the classroom... "Hi Jenna. We're canceling class." my director.
Arg! You've got to be kidding me! I should've not even bothered coming! O well... A friend from the group gave me a ride back to the dorm so I didn't have to wait for the bus, and when I got back I realized everyone was packing up on food for the next day lol.
I'm really hoping it either snows a lot tonight so classes are canceled tomorrow, or melts. I have an O and M (orientation and Mobility) lesson tomorrow, and I want to go walk around the neighborhood near my apartment complex for next year to see what's there, but I don't think walking in feet of snow will do anybody any good... especially since I'll be using my cane to get the layout of things. I hate that thing! i'll use it when I have to, but no more!
Ok now I'm going to do homework. Hopefully my future posts will be more entertaining than this one. Ta-Ta for Now
